Need new headlights!
Some threads I've read say you can't buy them new anymore! True?
The DIY lens replacement is out of my league.
Best bet for me is to buy new/refurbished assemblies, then install myself.
What can/should I do? Considering the C7 style lights, but they are very expensive and not 100% my style.
Thanks a lot!

Your factory light covers can be replaced. A forum sponsor here will take your light assembly & replace the covers for you if you wish or they will ship you the new covers if you want to tackle that job yourself, RLSEBRING.com will take care of you

We have an installer not really close to you but someone in the Miami area that has done a lot of these and if you actually pay him to come up, he may do it at your home.
Alternatively, if you follow that video (our lenses) that you posted, you really should be ok if your lenses are 2005-2008, the 2009-10 are ok, but the 2011+ sealant has been more troublesome of the last 8 or 9 lights we've done.
---
Finally, we have a set of headlights here, if you want us to build out a set with black out, we can offer a "core exchange for those" meaning you pay for the work, lenses, black out, shipping. We ship you 2 brand new lights + deposit for the old lights. You get your deposit back once we get your lights back here. Let us know.

I had mine replaced through RLSEBRING. He did a great job. Go to his website for prices. If you can't remove your own light assemblies check with your local Corvette Club for someone who can help you.

The installation cost at C&S Corvettes is a bit pricey because it is a proper bumper-off process.
Not trying to do that business where you bend and pull stuff to work the lights in.
Approximate figures:
1150 lights
150 tax
400 install
What is so unreasonable about that?
I like DIY. But in this case, if I scratch or break the bumper or the new lights with my monkey wrenches in my driveway, I'll really wish I had just spent the 400. Looking at time lapse videos, the bolts are enough of a pain to get to with a proper lift.
Not trying to get frustrated by all this. C&S Corvettes is offering a quality service at a premium. Not saying it's particularly affordable -- but it's not a waste.

But your guy should not be removing that bumper.

This installation business is getting blown way out of proportion. Front bumper does not come off in order to change the headlights. You don't have to do anything crazy to get them out.
I have 12 years experience with the C6 headlights and lenses. In those 12 years I have sold over 10,000 sets of lenses to Corvette owners and shops. The vast majority of sales were to DIYers and the vast majority completed the job with out any problems.
My removal and install instructions on my website are still relatively the same as they were when I first started sending them to customers and later posting them on my website.
