What would cause 1 window not to index?
The other day I noticed the drivers window would not index all the way up but the passengers window did. No big deal, I indexed both windows and everything is fine. I was just wondering why 1 window would index properly and not the other? Any ideas?

Interested to hear what others say, but it must just be one of those quirks. When I first picked my car up, the passenger window was not indexing up when the door was closed. I re-indexed both windows and everything was fine. A short time later, I put a new battery in the car and had to re-index the windows again, as one would expect. But a couple of weeks ago, I noticed my passenger window was not indexing down when opening the door. Still basically a brand new battery in the car and it had not been sitting for any long length of time. I re-indexed it and now it's working fine again.

I've had that happen as well. Not sure why, but I re-indexed both and never happened again.

Your car is testing you to see if you're paying attention to it.

Another Corvette quirk that we all love?

I haven't had it happen in my Corvette, but I had a 2010 Camaro that did it quite a bit. Not sure why but just sometimes it wouldn't index correctly. Sure whatever it was, they're related to some software glitch.

That happens occassionaly to the passenger side in my 08. To stop repeated index cycling, I press the door lock button 1-2 times on the driver’s side to either “lock or unlock” and the passenger side re-indexes itself. Then, open the door, exit the car as usual, and allow the car to secure the doors and windows automatically.
