GM OEM spoiler has three extra studs on either side of the third brake light. Holes will need to be drilled. An easy way to locate the holes is to place a piece of masking tape along the bumper, then put a little whiteout or paint on the six studs. Then lower the spoiler down so that the OEM studs from your original spoiler that you just transferred to the new one go in the holes in the bumper and the new studs will impact the tape leaving paint marks where you will drill the holes.
Is this the fiberglass version? Anyone have any experience with their carbon fiber products?

More importantly. The extremely flimsy, plastic piece under the brake light bows when installed. It would make sense that holes need to be bigger, so I tried widening the holes but not really changing it much. Its bowed even when I have only the stock mount points bolted.

I don't think you will find any of these so called 'Carbon Fiber' spoilers made out of 100% carbon fiber. These spoilers are not made the same as high performance carbon fiber aircraft components.
You will find that they are a layer of real carbon fiber laid over a plastic or fiberglass spoiler ... then a coating of clear coat
Update: decided to send spoiler back to RPI for a refund. They sent me a return label and i shipped it back. 4 or 5 days later I was still waiting for actual refund. They said they were going to get it done but at the same time PayPals timeclock was up so they automatically returned my money.
Simultaneously I found a guy selling an OEM spoiler on Ebay. Bought it, received it 2 days later and installed it. Fits perfect and whole thing took 3 days. The RPI fiasco took a total about 11 weeks total.
When I compare the RPI vs OEM I feel like the RPI is slightly "U" shaped and when the ends are forced down to install makes it bow. The OEM is shaped closer to the same contour of the deck where it is installed...
oh well, live and learn...
