Help with Genuine Vinyl Stripes Install
Where can I find instructions for installing Genuine Vinyl stripes? Not sure if this is a wet or dry application.
Your help will be greatly appreciated

Too Much Fun
I would highly recommend wet application to get them perfectly straight and no air bubbles. Most vinyl can be applied wet (some masking/application tape is not recommended to be used for wet application but it is rare). Dry can be done just less room for error. Also, after a few days in the sun if you do have air bubbles they can be popped with a needle and you will never see the area that was poked to get rid of trapped air.
I have a vinyl business and the above info is simply trying to help out from my 20 years of experience dealing with vinyl applications of having this business and 27 years or so of applying decals.
If I can help further feel free to PM me.

Agreed. Wet is the only way to go on that for adjustments when placed. Or if you wanted to make your own, you could get the knifeless tape and lay your stripes out with the vinyl of your choice.

WET! And soapy! And measure!!! They're easy to apply if you follow those three things. I've done several cars including full body graphics on a Monte Carlo.

Definately wet.. A little soapy water in a spray bottle will give you all you need.
Measure, measure, and then measure again.. .
Alcohol the area first, wet it down, wet down the vinyl as well and give yourself plenty of room to work. An extra set of hands is worth their weight in gold. Use a squeegee to get all the bubbles out. Will be easy with the soapy water.
I played around with mine in the garage for 30 mins.. Could not get it right.. Wife came out with a glass of sweet tea and 5 mins later both sides were done.
Huge help to have that extra set of hands...
Best of Luck!!
Love to see the end results!

I'm not a JAKE Fan.......but just like the above design.....what about the flat black area with the
crossed flag emblem makes it a JAKE thing ??????

You don't see that it's supposed to be a representation of Jake, although a very poor one? The black striping looks good; the fake Jake does not. Get rid of the silver section and it would look good, or JUST have the crossed flag part, eliminate the rest, and it would look good.

The Silver Section is NOT Silver, but actually Flat Black.......
IF the Flat Black area was completely eliminated with only
the body colored outline around crossed flags it may be
too much just gloss black.......
Sorry, but I'm just not comprehending the poor representation
of Jake......dont want to pizz JAKE fans off.....I just kinda like the
design all the same
If those four little gloss black stripes (front to rear) were left out
would it be less JAKE ???

Looks more like the ABC war robot from Judge Dredd (1995):

I think the one on the black Vette looks better than the one on the orange. As for the orange one, the black looks painted, not a decal. If that's a decal, then good luck getting that all lined up and right. And I would skip those dumb hash marks on the orange one. Those are unfortunate for that owner. Jake is subjective. Doesn't have to look like Jake. It's a representation. If you like it, that's all that counts. Make your car your own.

Here I am.................Aug of 2020 and still havent pulled the trigger on stripes from Mike @vettestripes
Not going to do any JAKE at all so that conversation is off the table
Wanting the ME3 style on the Hood but Body Color Splitter running down the Center (ala the 2013 Racing Stripe)
VetteStripes.com is going to Custom Blend the ME3 Hood with the GM Racing 2 stripes on Roof Deck and Rear
GM Racing Version 2 that has the Pin Stripes at the Outer Edges
Just cant decide what color/shade
1) Gloss Black Metallic (that would match my Carbon Flash Splitter and Skirts
2) Satin Black
Avery Dennison & 3M have several Different variations of Gloss Black Metallic's
3) Graphite
4) Different Shades Of Charcoal
5) Anthracite

The "body color stripe" down the middle isn't a stripe. Those are two decals. Period. Two pieces. And the pin stripe around it is all part of the one stripe. In other words, the hood decal is TWO pieces, each side is one piece. Same with the trunk. Two pieces. Get a professional to install them to get them perfectly lined up. The larger the decal the harder it is to install. I'd go with a carbon fiber look, more on the gray side. And probably flat. Putting black on an orange car makes it look like a pumpkin.
