Looking for Cyan / sky blue caliper paint !
Hey guys,
Yesterday after installing VHT light blue caliper paint , realized that stuff was just a lie , nothing as it appears on the can just came out dark blue. I’m looking for a blue caliper paint of this shade.
Toyota 86
I have seen engine enamel of that shade and many anecdotal accounts of ppl on the forums saying that would hold but considering how fast I drive , I would think it wouldn’t withstand the heat from my breaking..
Does anyone know a source for paint that color?

If you're not tracking your car, that paint will hold up just fine . I auto-x my 2012 GS and used standard spray paint on my calipers and they have held up great for the last 3 yrs . Your calipers don't heat up past 250* unless you are on the track racing for 30 min. at a shot. I also do spirited driving in the Santa Cruz mountains and the calipers have never looked any worse for the wear. Very

hey good looks on the info 😂 I been worried since people say calipers heat to like 900 degrees , and engine enamel is rated at 500, I don’t track race but I’ve done track numbers on the parkway racing so was just making sure

Calipers don't get anywhere near that hot. Here is what I did, and it is overkill. High heat primer. Color of my choice on regular spray paint, followed by a high heat clear coat. Going on 6 years now and still look great.

On my 2001 I used standard GOLD spray paint. On the GS I used Dupli-Color from Pep Boys. The blue paint is a three step process. Had to use a base coat for the metalic blue and then a clear coat all by Dupli-Color. Came out really good. By the way, painted calipers on the car (no one can see the backside of them. Had the red decal made for them. Very

this is actually the closest post to the color i posted. One of the posts on here mentioned to used regular spray paint protected by primer and clear coat so if I can’t find a reg spray paint that’s lighter this will probably be the color
