For now to get it out of park, until you have time to correct the micro switch soon, with your foot on the brake, bang the shiftier hard forward, then pull back out of park normally.
The extra push/bang forward will make the micro switch contact to power up the lever release solenoid in the back of the shifter housing, to allow you to pull the shiftier out of park.
This is a very common problem in the C-6 as well as the shifter cable bushings failing and leaving you stuck in the wrong gear. The GM fix for both problems is to replace the whole shifter assembly for your problem and the cable for the bushing problem. If you search stuck in park in this section of the forum, you will come up with lots of reading. If you are handy, replacing a $3 micro switch by following the instructions in the forum will solve your problem or by tying back the plastic locking piece. GM dealers have no knowledge of either of these methods. If you elect to have a dealer correct both problems, they will sell you a shifter assembly, a cable and the installation which is probably about $350 in parts and three plus hours of labor. I'm in my mid 70's so I don't crawl under the car very well. I purchased both parts off the net for about $220 and a very capable and honest local garage installed both pieces this week for $255 labor. (3 X $85hr.) The total cost was $475 and well worth it to me. A GM dealer is going to be higher on both the parts and labor. My 2007 only had 12,000 miles on it but now I feel confident I won't get stranded because of either of these common issues. PM me if you need any clarification on this post.
Tony, do you have a question or would like to make a statement about transmission?
I've already reported your other aborted attempt at a post.
I’m widely known as a dick, but you make me look like Mother Theresa of Calcutta. Why be so petty and immature about grammar and what you deem is or is not appropriate for C6 general, particularly considering no one knows you exist? Are you trying to make a name for yourself? Because that name would be “feckless.” You’re like a newborn, you make a lot of noise but at the end of the day, you’re easily tuned out. Hope you get a flat during a hail storm. OP, when you start your car, you can try depressing the brake pedal a bit more firmly. There’s also a shifter patch that’s easily researched. Try here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...use-found.html
1. I reported his first post because the subject said MGr or something like that.
2. I asked the Mods to change the subject of this post to something that actually had some meaning.
3. I posted a link that would get him started on finding a solution.

Is this guy irrelevant yet?
edit: everything he’s posted has been erroneous thus far. He was irrelevant the minute he created an account. Likely has never even owned a Corvette.
