2008 Z51 Leaf Spring Nut
I have 2008 Z51 AT and I was doing Shocks (Bilstein's) B6 and noticed on rear leaf has no NUT's is this the way it should be. I checked both sides and no NUT
See the Pic. Thanks in advance. I pull the wheels to clean and check everything once a month. So I was already there.
Sorry I know it's dirty.

That's the spring adjuster and it's exactly how it's supposed to be. With pressure off the adjuster you can put a wrench on it and adjust it up or down in order to change the ride height. If you look at the front spring you'll see the exact same thing. Been that way since 1997 when the C5 came out all the way through 2019 with the C7.

No nut used, and when the suspension is loaded, the bolt/ride height adjuster will not turn.
Hell unload the suspension and it still a bear to turn the ride height adjuster bolt.

I have never been able to turn that adjustment bolt when there is spring tension on it.
Once you get the wheels off the ground, you need to get a small jack (like a bottle jack) and place it under the leaf spring very close to where the adjustment bolt is. Then start jacking up the leaf spring until there is no tension on the bolt ... you can then turn the bolt either way.
You may need to squirt a little penetrating oil on the bolt to get it to initially loosen.

BTW ... Once you have turned that bolt counter-clockwise to lower the car, you need to drive the car a little so the suspension will settle ... The car will look too high when you first bring the car back off the jacks, but it will go down after a few miles of driving.
