Default Raspy noise

I have a 2008 that had stock headers and straight pipe exhaust. wanted to spice it up and had speed engineering long tube headers installed. the car was crazy loud, so I had 2 magnaflows installed. since the car is now calmed down inside(noise wise), all i hear inside is this raspy noise as i accelerate and im hating it! I feel like it sounded way better just stock headers and straight pipe. or take the mufflers back off and let her be loud as heck, so I cant hear it... any suggestions please? that noise is driving me insane!! Thanks!!

So, did you get an actual Magnaflow axleback or did a shop just weld on some mufflers and called it a day? Also, did you check for exhaust leaks? It usually sounds like ticking, but if the leak is bad enough it can be worse than that and may be what you describe. This is especially true if you used the provided header clamps, which are pretty cheap.

Pretty sure the shop installed the headers and it has 2 1/2 inch pipe back to the 2 magnaflow mufflers.

Stock headers and straight pipe isn't straight pipe because you have still had cats. You actually mean stock headers and muffler delete.
I'm that guy.

Is it possible to post the sound? I also have Long Tube Headers and Magniflow catback exhaust, I can compare the sounds? I wouldn't say mine sounds raspy though .

Personally I like the sound of mine very deep and gurgling. Though sometimes drones, which is unplesent.

The exhaust companies spend a lot of money and time refining their sound. You can’t expect equal sound with thrown together stuff
