This car was in another thread a few months back. Same seller (Pristine in NJ), but car was listed as having a LS7. At least one of the forum members at the time, said they emailed them about the motor not being original nor a LS7. Can't find the thread, but maybe someone else who posted in it can find it.

As I stated in the other thread on this car ... It has #243 LS2 heads on it ... This 'Z06' has an LS2 engine in it.

Everyone here keeps on thinking that this Z06 was a Hertz rental.
The deal is ... Hertz never had any C6 Z06 rental cars.
If that car actually started life as a Z06, it certainly was not a Hertz car.

When I was in Vegas several years ago I reserved a car for the day at Hertz. It was not a Vette but when I showed up at the counter they told me that they did not have the sedan that I had in my original request. I was upset and asked for the Mgr. When she came out she said she was sorry but then proceeded to say that if I didn't say anything to anyone else and I agreed, she gave me the keys to a Cyber Gray C6 convertible (automatic). I was a very happy camper.
I don't know what they rented out for the Mustang GT 500's in the day but all Corvette rentals were automatics.
