Have a C6 and the heads up display will come and go. Any idea on things to trouble shoot before going into the dash?

Take a look at pages 3-21 & 3-22 in your 2005 owner's manual.

Thanks, I considered all that. Didn't know if there was any connections or tricks to make it come back on.

Search this forum. There are quite a few threads on the C6 HUD.

Could be a broken mounting pin inside the HUD itself. If you can only see it at certain angles, or when you move the motor up / down, or you see a light in the HUD when looking through the windshield but no display, that's a common flaw called "mirror drop."
