Here's a true WTF?!

If you have any electrical issues with a C6 the first item on the list is to make certain the battery is good and the computer has been reset.

With the new head unit and if the battery tests good, I’d look for a pinched wire. Start at the ignition switch first and work back to the head unit. Since it works correctly on ACC but not on RUN, could be an issue where power was connected to for the head unit. You didn’t say but does the head unit work correctly in either switch position?

okay - replaced the battery with a new one. Connected the cable leads together while I was at the store (to reset computers). installed and wired up - Issue still present! I read a post from few years ago that this same sequence was happening to another C6 and he brought it in and they checked the window switch. Determined it was bad and ordered a new one. That DID fix the issue. I will likely do the same. Question is, how is the switch checked to determine its bad? It would be easy to see if it worked at all or not but how to tell when its not working correctly, I don't know. Any help is appreciated...

I'm wondering if I can pull the window switch and just disconnect it to keep the window up all the time until I have the time to work on a fix... Will a disconnect mess up other stuff?
