Pennsylvania law says 30% is legal. You can do any percent you wish but if the law pulls you over or have annual inspection you’ll be caught. The way around it is a doctor permit.
When I lived up in NJ I did 50% on the back of my c5 and 15% on the side windows. Only got pulled over once or twice. Typically I would just be nice to the cops and I would be on my way with a verbal warning. The good thing about tint is if you get caught speeding they may just write you a ticket for the tint instead so no points. Down here in FL I have 5% all around on both my cars.
I'm going to get the side and rear glass on my 2007 tinted, and I was wondering if I should go beyond 15% ? I'm in Pennsylvania.
ND resident here. Just went 5% all around, I'm very happy with it. I've done 5 on all my vehicles though and have been fortunate through the years not to be stopped for it. The city police here don't seem to care but several of my friends have had the highway patrol stop them.
nope not here in ND. No emissions testing either. Just yearly tags
Same here in TN. I went 20% all the way around on all my vehicles, C6 GS included. It’s not legal, but in my 30+ years of driving I have never once been pulled over for it. I have gotten pulled over for speeding on a few occasions but never been cited for it.

Florida... no one cares about tint, until they need a reason to pull ya....
"tint too dark...." (finds weed) , judge be like: what's your justification? tint was too dark your honor....
I live in PA as well. I just paid $450 for 30% on fronts 15% on back. Didn't want to go too dark on front on account of being pulled over.
Ouch, I was quoted $225 for my grand sport for ceramic tinting and it ended up only being $150 since I had another car done at the same time. $450 is a LOT.
I won't disagree that it was alot, but it's the best person in the area. I don't have a problem paying a little more so I don't have to go back later. Not saying your guy didn't do a great job, but I'd rather a peace of mind. If it were my beater or truck it would have been a different story. How did they do your dot matrix, just curious?
250$ here in south florida.... 15% all around on my ram 3500.... did the windshield at 80%.... took them less than an hour and always use the highest quality film....
15% is really about the best for a daily, especially if you're driving at night... its not too dark, but really cuts the UV... anything less and you're gonna hate driving in the dark...
also, be sure to get ceramic film... the cheap dyed crap is terrible.... always pay for the best tint you can get.... 3m or ahh.... solar gard....
also, with the ceramic tint, you don't need to be "as dark" because it blocks UV more efficiently than just being "a shade".... you could get like 25%, not obscure your vision, and still have the benefit of blocking radiant heat...
Big difference doing a Corvette c3-6 and any other car. We have a huge curved piece of glass that's much harder to do than the flat pieces of glass that most vehicles have.
I would say 350 to 450 is a fairly reasonable guess.

They did great on the back window & I’m assuming the dot matrix are those dots on the upper window.
I went to Audio Tint Lab in Ventura because they’ve got the best experience tinting Corvettes.
No bubbles & lifetime warranty!
My buddy took his C7 there as well, although the owner Dustin did mention that the C6’s are harder to tint due to the curvature on the rear window.
Like you mentioned, if you’re going to have someone tint your Corvette make sure they have experience tinting Corvettes.
$200 or $500 as long as the jobs done right the first time!

good work aint cheap... cheap work aint good....
you sure won't think about a 500 dollar tint job 5 years down the road if its perfect...
sure sure af will be staring at tint bubbles and purple dye if you try to cheap out.... also, having to pay to have the cheap crap removed, glass cleaned, and proper tint applied....
The guy whos doing the work, also did the tint on my C5 years ago. $200 for the two side windows and the rear convertible window, I think I can do either 15 or 20% without too much flack from Local PD, I'm 70 this year.
