Default Window index

I changed the battery but now the passanger window will not index. It keeps going up and down a small amount.

I followed the instructions in the owner's manual but the window still activates when the car is not in gear or if I lower the window.

Is there a relay or sensor that needs to be changed?

Closing the door is key. I changed the drivers regulator awhile back. Hooked the battery back up and nada. Closed the door fully and success!

We had a problem with this yesterday. Didn't really notice it lately because I apparently don't take my wife along often enough. But her door wouldn't close. Because the window wouldn't index.
Checked here (of course) and did the above procedure. Amazingly, the indexing problem, and door not closing, are fixed. Thanks!

However ... the passenger side window switch still won't LOWER the window. It will raise the window just fine. But not lower it. More research needed.

Can the driver's side switch for the passenger window lower the passenger side window?

Yes, it can. And Thanks for asking that, and so promptly. So a faulty switch? A relay problem? My wife says "regulator half-shot." But that probably isn't the case: the driver's side switch makes it work.
