Default Alignment Specs for 2013 Grand Sport

hello, everyone!

I am about to change the tires on me 2013 Grand Sport...I am looking to find out what sort of alignment specs I should be looking for in order to maximize tread life? I have never dragged, brought my car to the track, done burnouts, etc...I simply drive it around down and may start making it my daily driver...so if I am dailying the car, I really do not care about crazy handling and traction; I just want to setup the car so the tire tread lasts the longest Any ideas on how you all can help me? I appreciate the help and have a good one!

These are the specs I have been using for the last 6 years on my 2013 Grand Sport. As you can see just tell your guy to put the needle in the middle. I have great handling and even tire wear across the thread.

I've attached the complete PFADT specs. What's critical is that you insist the alignment shop gets it exact. The factory specs have way too much leeway. I've been running the pure street settings on my GS with good results.

Wasn't sure whether this was in the post above or not.

Corvettes don't have rear caster specs? I'll be bringing my car in for alignment.

Caster affects steering geometry, and positive caster assists in returning the steering wheel to a centered position. Since corvettes don't steer with their rear wheels, then there would be no point in being able to adjust the rear wheel caster.

Thanks Fats...that's what I thought. When I recommended a shop for alignment in the regional forum...someone was under the impression that there was a rear caster adjustment.

I've done track events and autox with my Mazdaspeed Miata as well as other sportscars. We usually try to dial in as much front caster as possible. I'm new to C6 and never heard of rear caster before.

Good deal. How many miles do you get in between tire changes? 20k, 30k?

From my experience, rear camber doesnt need to be more than 2/3rd’s of the front camber. Any more than that, you’ll have more negative rear camber than what is needed before the front’s lose grip. It'll just reduce straight line traction and put more wear on the inner shoulders of the rear tires.

I have -2.6 in front and rear at -1.7 and the front/rear tires of my autox setup wears almost identically evenly across the entire tread. The daily tires inside shoulder is worn much more than the outside of course.

Before and after…I am happy with the after. Does anyone have any thoughts? He said I could bring it back within 6 months if I don’t like it and he’ll redo it for free
