Chevy Dealership is telling me they can't see full service history performed?
A Chevy Dealership is telling me they can't see the full service history performed at all Chevy dealerships on a particular Corvette. They tell me I have to contact each dealer individually to get each ones service history. I thought they had one system where they could see any service ever performed at a Chevy Dealership? I used the term "VIS" report and they did not know what that meant. What words do I need to use to get them to understand that this is possible, or am I simply mistaken?

I had to call all the dealers that worked on my car to clarify some items on a Carfax. Dealing with some of them was unreal. I don't know how they can pass themselves off as "customer service". I used to work at a Chevrolet Dealer was hired to "bring back" the Corvette business. I Know they were not linked then or now for service records. Sorta like your medical records. Maybe this has changed, but I am not aware of that, none around here are.

They just don’t know how to pull the report. When I bought my previous ‘12 Grand Sport I had the same issue at a local Chevy dealer. The service manager had to ask 3 different service writers before one knew how to pull up the report.
Maybe check another dealer. Any GM dealer can pull it up, doesn’t have to be Chevy.

I bought my 427 from a private seller but before I did I went in person to a local Chevy dealer and asked them if they could print the VIS record on the car. I provided them with the VIN number and it took all of a couple minutes and I had the complete history of the service performed at any GM dealer in my hand. I have done this more than once, it all depends on the competence and willingness of the person at the service counter. Good luck to you, try another dealer!

You have to use the title "VIS Report", and if someone has not heard of it, find someone who has. I was turned down once, but asked for the service manager. He knew what it was, and pulled it for me.
