Need alignment shop advice in AZ
Ok - so all four of my tires have pretty much completely worn-through to the fabric on the insides, while the outsides look like they have plenty of life still. I just bought four new tires and those will be arriving at my local (Sierra Vista) Discount Tire in about a week. Although I like this particular shop, they don't do alignments. Not alot of service shops here for this kind of thing, but I once took my 93 Vette to the local (Sierra Vista) Jack Furrier, but they treated me so badly, I'll never have anything to do with them ever again. Meanwhile, I'm in desperate need of a QUALITY alignment shop. I'd even be willing to go up to the Tucson area, so long as they're good.
The car (a 2012 GS) has been lowered on it's stock bolts. While it looks fantastic (to me), I'm almost certain this is a major contributing factor as to my horrendous tire wear. Ideally, I'd love to keep the lowered stance while not killing the new tires I put on the car. Are there any alignment shops that'll work with me that you (AZ) folks might know of? Much appreciated in advance - thanks!

Try Jack’s Auto Alignment & Brakes 2902 E. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, 85016 they have a pit so they are not afraid of lowered cars. Network Alignment and Forza Automotive also both have a good reputation with the AZ road race people.

Assuming you don't road race or play hard in the twisties, Masterwerks 21824 N 19th Av in Phx will do a tire longevity alignment that works great. If that's not close to just drive up so they can get a look at how far you're lowered, then send them a photo of your car's stance.
I'm at 15K miles since the alignment. I checked wear about a month ago and all 4 are exactly wearing the same inside and outside.
If you have mag ride (F55), do a height reset and drive it for a day, before doing the alignment.

I'll check with Lawley Chevrolet here and see where that leads. Honestly, I hadn't even thought of the dealer - always just assumed they subbed that sort of work out. Thanks.

Phoenix is over 3 hours away from me - I'd definitely need to plan time off for that. However, this is really good information for me! I'd seriously consider this. Thanks so much!

Is the ride height set with weight on or off wheels?

Forza is the place to go. They are worth the drive. Max who does most of the alignment work owns a Corvette and knows them back n forth.
edit: Just saw your are 175 miles from them. Damn! Still might be worth the drive

Thank you for this! I do have F55. I bought my car already lowered by the previous owner. Wouldn't mind playing around with that as it seems simple enough.....So, what is a height reset and how is it done? I have a garage and a good set of tools, so I'm not afraid of digging-in. I imagine there's such a thing as ride-height specs? Though, I'm not entirely sure where I might even find that.

I've had good luck with O'Reilly Chev in Tucson and Sahuarita Automotive in Sahuarita. Biggest thing is to take pfadt street spec printout in with you and ask if they can align to the EXACT specs. If the answer is no, move on.

Hi 12GS, If you send me a message at jim@jimmero.com, I can provide you with a full set up procedure, including alignment, trim heights and cross weights.

12GSCB, my 2013 GS sits low so 99% of the alignment shops have no way for me to drive up onto the alignment lift w/o ripping the bottom of the front end off. I used to get my alignments @ BIG O in Maricopa because they still have the old school PIT ALIGNMENT RACKS. Since moving, I did find that the BIG O in the Vail AZ area ( 10061 E Old Vail Rd, Tucson, AZ 85747 ) has a pit alignment rack that uses the Hunter wheel alignment machine. 2 yrs ago it cost $98 for the all wheel alignment. I brought my own specs & they were OK w/ using my numbers.

Hello everyone,
I'm not here to discredit Pfadt's credentials. But over the last 4.5 years several folks running those specs. have asked me to help get the car driving better. Typically they were fighting oversteer. When I noticed the settings, I knew why,
Over 14 years of being the Corvette Ride and Handling engineer and 9 years prior to that as one of the Corvette endurance drivers, I've never run more negative camber in the front than the rear.
When the folks asking for advise re-set the alignment, the laps times went down simply because the car drove better. The new track calibration we provide also made a dramatic difference.
I will attach the specifications to this post. Good Luck!
Thank you, Jim
