TPMS woes
I bought my 2012 Grand Sport in April of last year. Since i got it, I've had issues with the tire pressure indications going out and the "Service Tire Monitor" warning popping up. The indications will display "XX" when this happens. It's usually the front left and both rear indications that do this. It happens almost everytime about 20-25 minutes into a drive. It's doesn't always disappear when cycling the key. I usually have to just drive it and eventually it goes away until the next time I start it up and start driving. Or I can reprogram them with the TPMS tool. This fixes it until til the next drive as well.
When i began researching potential causes on the forums, i discovered that it seems to be a common problem. I think I've read every thread on this forum and have tried every fix that others have had success with, but have had no luck.
So far I have replaced all the TPMS sensors. That didn't work, but they weren't the OEM ones. So I bought brand new OEM ones and those didn't work either. I tried removing all the LED lights/bulbs that I installed to see if they were causing interference, and that didn't work. I installed a brand new battery too. No luck with that. I have the stock radio, so that rules out the issues alot of folks report with aftermarket headunits. I've removed all phone chargers too since one member reported removing a wireless charger he had as the fix to his problems.
I'm not sure what else to go after. Does anyone have any other things that you've been successful with to fix this issue?
Thanks

Get the cheap linking device and make certain that all sensors will connect with the car before you have them installed . If you have read the available posts. Then you should have seen this advice.

Both of the new sets, and the set that was on it when I bought the car, all had no issues connecting with the car. This was confirmed via the TPMS tool and because they all display accurate pressures on the DIC, until around the 20 minute mark of the drive.

My Garmin vintage 2011 sometimes causes this problem, but always with a reading from the LR sensor. It usually takes about 2 hours for the error to appear, and if I unplug it or switch it off, the sensor starts reporting again in about 30 seconds and the 'xx' is replaced by the actual pressure. The tire icon warning disappears only when I restart the car. The problem was made worse when my wife started using her iPhone with Bluetooth ear buds, and then the error popped up after 20 minutes. So it's definitely being caused by EMI. Most of the interior lamps have been replaced with LEDs so they might be contributing to the problem, but since they're never on when I'm driving during the day, probably not.
In your case, I'd try to have no other electronic devices in the car, including cell phones and fobs from other cars and see if that makes any difference. I know a cell phone can cause coms problems with the key fobs, and they (the fobs) operate at the same frequency as the TPMS sensors, so it's worth a try.

Switch off wifi and Bluetooth as well, or better yet, just turn the phone off. That way, you’ll still have it with you just in case. Some of us carry around EMR emitters without giving much thought to it, such as Fitbits and hearing aids. All of it adds to the total electronic noise.

I'm going to try the airplane mode, bluetooth off, wifi off, phone off stuff when I get back home (currently on vacation sitting on the beach in Destin 😎.
I have a set of Forgelines sitting at home waiting to be installed, so I think I'll try another set of OEM sensors with them. Anyone know what the going rate is and who has them? Prices seem to be all over the place.
Also, one of the threads I read had a couple different GM part numbers listed. There was the standard GM part #20925924 that they said can only be triggered by a TPMS tool. These are the ones i currently have installed, though i must admit, i dont recall looking at the date on them before installing them. (One thread said the manufactures date is listed on them). Then they had another one listed which was GM part #15268606 that they said can be triggered to register with the TPMS by changing air pressure in the tire. Does anyone have experience with these ones?

You can also call or order from these guys https://www.tpms.com/Default.asp
And I doubt the pressure drop method works for a 2012. It did for some of the earlier models. You absolutely need to get the sensors which are compatible with your model year.

Update.
I replaced my factory radio with a new Kenwood. Not as an attempt to fix my tpms issues, but just as as upgrade.
About 200 miles or so on it now and haven't had a single tpms issue. Not sure how or why.

Since then I've replaced every single bulb with LEDs. New sidemarkers, morimoto headlights, tail lights, and fogs. All the interior bulbs. Reverse lights. Map lights. Etc.
I installed a new Kenwood DMX9707s and front and rear cameras and since then, and about 300 miles later, no more TPMS issues.
