Hey Gang,

Can the gas tank filler tube be changed out to one that does not require a gas cap? It would be a nice convenience, may help with the splash when filling.

Not sure if vacuum is needed to properly pressurize the system.
Any information would be great.

I imagine an open hole to the gas tank would reek havoc on the Evap monitoring system and throw all kinds of error codes.

I have seen replacement gas caps that have a hinged door opening to push the pump nozzle in to. Not sure if available for the C6.
