OP here,

Just FYI to all of you. The term "nanny" referring to Active Handling....That is a brand new term for me. I am slow but not hopeless.

I was trying to link my “I want to burn rubber post” but couldn’t figure out how to do the link. It got a lot of how to’s and why not to’s responses.
It’s about a 2010 A6 LS3 from a dead stop’s unwillingness to “light up” the tires.

Active handling and traction control, yes. When you want to really play with the car’s limits, put it in Competitive Driving mode. It will allow more rear wheel spin but keep the active handling engaged. And if you ever want to learn why those Nannies are in place, find a big open lot, turn everything off, and THEN stomp on it. You will gain a healthy fear and respect for your car real quick.

And in the order you've specified.
