Default How to quiet squeaks when targa is in stow?

When my targa is clipped into the storage in the trunk, it squeaks and annoys the hell out of me.
Any suggestions on how to quiet this down?

Put a microfiber towel on each side at the clip in points. Works for mine.

I put adhesive backed Velcro on the front hooks and on the front plastic surface that the roof sits on (both sides). Works great, however I do have to re-stick the hooks every once in a while. I will post pics latter.

this sounds semi elegant as a fix. Please do if you remember.

I think I read after posting this about people putting extra c clips on the roller or something in the latching mechanism?
to be honest I never really even looked at it all that close.

Here are a couple of pictures. I wrapped the hooks starting at the top of the hook and wraping it over the hook and down the front of the hook. (soft side) I also put a piece on the plastic in front of the hook. It works great. But I do have to re-stick the hook every once in a while.

The C clips are for the old style clamps and sometimes they worked to stop the top from rattling and squeaking when it was clamped in place, not stowed. Unfortunate that yours is noisy. Must be the luck of the draw since mine is quiet back there and I haven’t read about any of them noisy when stowed.
