I need to put a new battery in my 2007 z51 coupe. After the battery is swapped do I have to do anything besides index the windows? Will i be able to open the car as normal. Will my fobs work as they should? I'm almost 80 and some of this is kind of fuzzy.
thanks to all
Just a point of interest, I bought a new battery last year, put it in and continued having all kinds of problems. I started thinking either I got a bad battery or something else was wrong. As a last resort I put the charger on the new battery overnight and next morning fully charged the car was fine. These cars are very sensitive to voltage needs.
Just before disconnecting battery lower the windows, then new battery in place index the window.
went to shop and found dead battery. I don't drive the car much. But battery was on a 4 amp maintenance unit. Battery is 7 years old. I don't let it get below freezing in my shop. I guess I'll have to let windows down after i get new battery installed.

It doesn't matter. It's just hard to open the doors with the windows up and the battery dead/disconnected. Since my battery is in the back, I've changed/disconnected it several times with the windows up.
