Default Black center caps---(satin black wheels)

Took my stock c6 wheels to get powder coated black, and they didn't do the center caps. So I had to do it myself, I think they turned out okay!

Hated to have to resort to spray paint, but it worked! (for now)

First I sanded the caps down with sandpaper (cant recall the grit, i think it was 180)

Then I sprayed a plastic spray paint primer, then a black, then clear coat. (got the spray paints from autozone) Did around 4-5 layers of the black.

I got the decals from ebay. Make sure you look at the measurments, because I orderd some and they were tiny! So measure the emblems you have on your car and make sure you get the same size. Hope that helps.

I cant recall the size, but I will tell you that these are the small ones. Dont get this size! DECAL SIZE - 3/4" X 1 7/8"..You need to get a size bigger

They were nice but too small.. The people at pinnaclecorvette did refund me some of the money. Again, you want the size bigger than this

thanks.

im struggling between buying black center caps from bob, or getting decals and paint them. The oem ones are gloss black and im looking for satin powdercoat. Do you think it wont match right? Is this why you painted them?

If I could of bought them for a decent price I would of. Bob didnt have my style OEM rim center caps in black so I had to do them. I think they match pretty well, though I think it only matched the Satin black about 85% (even though I got satin black spray paint). I think they blend in nice, though I think gloss black and satin powdercoat might contract a little bit. You are probably the only one that will notice though..
