I'm leaving town for the weekend so I decided to take a Friday Night right. Seemed harmless enough. I get home with that bad *** grin that I've had for 718 miles, and I noticed that blinking light on the answering machine. Should I check it? It's never good news right? Ah, let's roll the dice. Big mistake. It was the service department of Maxie Price. MY BABY'S BEEN RECALLED {crying like a baby}. Why did this have to happen?? It didn't do anything to anybody!! So the transmission pops out of gear, so what? There are 5 other gears. Now I have to spend a whole day at the dealer as I'm not leaving it alone for the first time. Moral of the story? Never check your messages.

I'm sorry to hear about that. Just think of all of the uninterrupted fun you will have in the future though. Does the car actually jump out of gear while you are driving it?

I think it's good news, in that GM is tracking down every single car that had a transmission issue and replacing or repairing the transmissions. Think about how little time it took them to find, diagnose, and isolate this problem. I, for one, am very impressed. Of course, it doesn't hurt my feelings that mine isn't on the VIN list of affected cars....
