[pics] Saw a red Z06 at Pocono Raceway this past weekend
I was at Pocono Raceway for the SCCA Double Nationals this past saturday. I saw someone who I met last year drive up in a red Z06. He drove down from Michigan. Care to guess who?
Took off shortly for the driver's meeting.
When he came back from the meeting, he parked right next to my Suburban

I saw a sister car to the red Z06 at the Autobahn CC in May. It was driven by a Corvette engineer and was also red.
Let's see who is a past SCCA T1 champion that might be running SCCA nationals? let's see...does his 1st name begin with a J and his last name begin with a H?

In saturday's T1 race, he went from last ( steering box problem/serious ABS code forced him into a different C5 Corvette) to finishing second behind a Viper.
Sunday he drove the Viper and won the race.

Spoke to john about this car, he said he had just picked it up and drove to Pocono, roughly 800 miles. Drovr 75 to 80 miles per hour and averaged around 28 miles per gallon. Not bad and the car does it all well.
