A proper X pipe is one that allows the exhaust gases to bypass each other rather than run into each other. Some X pipes are more like a "T" pipe that forces the exhaust to crash into each other and cause a flat spot.

You can see on some X pipes they look just like an X where the lines are perpendicular to each other.

Our X pipe is more of a "Siamese" pipe connection that allows the pulses to head back down their own side rather then fight each other. Our pipes are more parallel to each other with a "Siamese" connection. kind of like joined at the hip. This allows the pulses to pass by each other rather than have to cross by the other. Kind of like "sideswipeing" rather than a figure 8.

Thanks
Lou G

I can vouch for that cause I've been up to LGM several times for perf mods.

Gad, I don't even HAVE my new Z yet and I'm already drooling over mods.

Lou - how much louder is the car outside / inside with the headers + cats during normal driving? How about at WOT?

Other newbie question - is the header install a DIY proposition, or should I leave this to a shop?
