[Z06] Reverse Lockout Failure

Reverse Lockout Failure
I have a 2002 Corvette Z06 with 6 speed T56 Tremec manual transmission. When accelerating hard to 70 mph in 4th and shifting to 5th the reverse lockout fails to lock out the shifter tries to engage reverse. Under normal driving reverse lockout works fine. Reverse can be engaged after stopping for 1 or 2 seconds and does not pop out.
Why should the reverse lockout fail to work when accelerating and shifting?

You are confusing yourself as to what is actually happening, stop thinking and just replace the solenoid it takes 15 mins to do. I have done it twice ... Pick up solenoid from parts dept then go to sears or tool store and get the proper deep socket metric to fit. Go under the car move the wires away from the top of tranny and put both your arms around tranny it is on top at 12 oclock unplug conn remove solenoid put new one in reconnect put car down and stop thinking.
