Default debris in differential oil

So i flush the gear oil on my low mileage 2012 ZR1 yesterday, i have been shock to find big chunk of metals in the oil it looks like aluminum or magnesium since a magnet cannot catch it,the oil looks very dirty also. My concern is that those pieces of metal can easily jam in the cooler lines or even in the cooler itself. Have you guys ever experience a situation like that. Thank you.

Yikes. I guess I'd better go get mine taken care of. I don't see anything on the service history for mine. I planned to run Redline or Amsoil fluids front to rear at some point anyway.

You don’t mention your miles but I changed my 2011 Z07 diff fluid at about 3500 miles and it was clean, no debris as in your pic. I replaced it with Amsoil product.

That's nothing to worry about. You should see the fluid that comes out of a 10k mile C7 differential.

You're referring to the little specs of debris in your picture above right? Is that what you're worried about?

correct. I cannot understand how this can be, when i had flush the diff oil on my previous 2011 GS with three times the mileage of the ZR1 there was no metal debris in the oil. so i found that strange.

That's a very small amount of debris. I usually see more particles and chunks of clutch material on most of the fluid changes we do.

It's hard to tell from the picture but the stuff along the right corner of the bucket looks like machine filings that were not properly cleaned out before assembly. Not sure if there's a easy way to flush the system but might make a nice winter project.
