I was lucky. The first girl I was engaged to gave me a preview of what life would be like when we were married. She wants, she wants, she wants, and oh, BTW, she planned to quit her job, get pregnant as soon as we were married while I was to support her in style. I bailed out before the wedding.
Married the second lady I was engaged to. We just celebrated 38th wedding anniversary, can't imagine life without her.
When I was engaged to #1 and it wasn't going well, another fella said to me "Marrying the right girl is like heaven on earth. Marrying the wrong one is like a living hell."
I think that's pretty accurate.

Married to my first wife for 7 years and it was the best sex I ever had. However there is more to life than just sex so I got divorced and have been married to my current wife for 36 years.

33 years happily married to my college sweetheart Our second date was to an IMSA race in '83 and it was 90, humid, and sunny. She stayed with me and gets the car hobby. She Wishes it was cheaper though... all good!
