I've been very happy with my electro plated stainless steel front grill and air duct mesh. Had a set on my 05 C6 Precision Red, liked them and had to get a set for the JSB Z06.

Like many, I would be inclined to pose the same question. It appears from the size of the mesh solid areas and the density of the grill openings that there would likely be at the very least a 10% reduction in airflow, perhaps more. Unfortunately, the adequate cooling issue will depend on the variables of how one uses their vehicle (race or transportation), subject ambient climate zone, and the degree of normal traffic congestion.
I am still on the fence concerning grills in general, though I do see the custom appearance it brings about. Strangely, I too would likely favor a black look, but then the grill might not be seen, thus why install one.

In regards to the black racemesh, I too favor that and in person it is visable and looks very nice

I ordered black chrome for my 08 machine silver z06. Should look good .Like the red one with the black chrome. Wanted a bit more agressive look than the polished ss.But figured black chrome should look good at night better than just the black powdercoat.Guess see when get it installed.I ordered the four chamber grill. Didn't get the splitter grills not sure if want them or not wasn't sure if going to different splitter. That cf looks great on that red one with the black chrome but not sure it would survive my driveway or crappy roads around here.
Anyone else got pics of black chrome on silver car with the four chamber grill? If not guess mine will be on here eventually.
And how much work is it to install the four chamber grill and the hood ,and side grills?
Hoping for easy install.
