Default The Great Nitto Invo

Well I put the Nitto invos on my rear wheels and let me tell you that I'm another happy costumer... they 'grip" and they "handle" very well but the most that I like of them is the "drive". They feel way more comfortable that the Runcraps.

I have around 75 miles on them and they already have more grip than my 3,800 miles GY. I will change my fronts in two weeks.

My buddy just replaced his stock 5k mile GY EMT on his C6VERT and loves them.

Actually for the first 10 miles or so the Nitto's were horrible. As soon as he wore them down a bit the grip was considerably more than the GY's.

yes my first 20 miles was W.O.T. to get the "break in" out of them, no grip at all but after around 25+ miles on them they just grip verry good

When he pulled out of the tire shop, he said it was like driving on ice... You need to put some miles on them to get them to really grip. I drove his car and I noticed a difference over the GYEMT's

I have no complaints either on these tires. The only knock might be if your caught in the rain with them (which breaks the 1st commandment). The hook great.. on par with Michelin Pilots.

I hear their side walls are pretty soft though...if you go to the track, that is one of the biggest complaints of people. I personally haven't tried them...yet.

I have Invo's on all four corners of my Z -- LOVE them.

I would say though -- mixing tired isn't really a good idea. I would really suggest spending the extra 500 and get invo's on the front too.

They work very well in rain. I drove my 675 rwhp Viper in a midwest tornado/flood storm with about 1" of water on the road and never lost traction. It was raining so hard you couldn't see out of the windshield. It rained a few times on that trip, tires worked great.

I'm sold. I'll be getting a set of these. It, uh, rains sometimes here in the Pacific Northwest

Yea! I thought they were the werst tire ever until I spun them in the first 4 gears for about 10-20 miles, They are like the runcraps in the rain at first! I tracked mine (345/25/20) They got better as the day went on. Now5000 miles on them & they are 75% worn.

I gotta have run flats as I daily drive albeit short distances. For me, it's a bit uncomfortable knowing you don't really have a backup when running a run flat system.

Are the Michelin Pilots out yet?

IMHO, the G.Y.'s aren't as bad as everyone say's. Just want to try something else.

Just installed my invo nitto's on the front and rears 19/20's (rear- 345-25-20) and all I can say is that these are great tires and now I have about 35 miles on them and they grip very well and they are really quite on the road..

Have had Nitto 555 Extreme on my C5 for years. Great tire. When it's time to replace the Goodyear's on my Z06, I'll definitely look at Nitto again.

funny you say that because I went with my buddys to a drive around the island and sometimes the car felt a little weird, like the walls where a little soft but also unpredictable... if I put the nittos on the front this will change? the car can feel that different because the front are RF and the rears are normal???

please anybody with info on this will help me a lot!

This is not really the tires causing this but the manufacturing process. They use a lubricant as a releasing agent for the tire molds. It takes a few miles to get it off the tires and they are a bit slick at first.
