Well to bad for the Veyron, and I did mention this in another post.
An 800 HP c6, not even a z06, and according to the conversion factor LPE uses from flywheel hp to rearwheel hp, their 800 HP vette would equal 680 to the wheels. the vette was less than 2 seconds slower to 200 than the veyron.
Now the 1100 hp hennessey KILLED the veyron to 200 mph, and please dont give me that veyron BS were talking about a car that costs 1 Million Euro's vs a $200,000 car.
I can only wonder what a 1000 HP vette would do to that "bug"
Its just the right time to own a vette!

They only had one run and it had an issue. R&T said thet felt it would have been much faster if not had the issue. Better luck next time for LPE.
"But unfortunately, we know it can go faster. On its first run — when it's fair to state that Millen was still getting used to launching this incredibly powerful car, and the LPE folks had yet to fit the car with their DOT-legal BFGoodrich drag slicks — the Corvette shoots past our ambulance crew and photographers at a wicked-quick pace, but trailing wisps of white smoke."

Everything else is a modified version of the production car.
Either way, killer.
BTW, if Steve is driving all 6 cars, how did he drive all 6 in the beginning toward the camera?

I'm still waiting for the video of a Viper or a Vette doing 253 (for any sustained time - no, for any time).
Don't get me wrong, the C6TT and the Viper are badazz, but the inside the car video of the Viper looked like a real handfull.. Not exactly the lap of luxury exhibited at 250 with the Veyron.
(yes, the 'wild ride in the Viper' could be a result of the surface of the different tracks, but maybe not)

Production car. Yeah. How many produced each year?
The Veyron is over 1Million bucks. My LPE Z does the 1/4 mile in almost the same time and that's without AWD.
A 1000HP Z is still only 125K.

All the others take cars from the factory and change them.
It doesn't matter how many are produced. It is still a production car.
All the others, minus the Lambo are after market cars.
That is the point.

ya know, all this talk has me wondering. The bug is a quad turbo. what's the world-record of performance for a stock, factory-produced naturally aspirated car? top speed and/or acceleration?
The bug has redefined what a "stock" car can do - it can out accelerate a modern F1 competition car. But it relies on power boosters to do so. The F1's do not.
What has set the previous standard? Did anything top the Mclaren F1? (if that could be considered a stock factory vehicle, as well).

VERYON is ugly, over priced and is its numbers are no FEAT whatsover. Hell Porsche Dauer 962 did the same stats 15 years ago. Big whoop and who in the hell want a car that gets 3 miles per gallon. I don;t see Veryons on the racing circuit either....they are not a true sports car no matter how hard they try.
