Default Finally got my Halltech KB/E-tune!!!

I've had my Killer Bee intake for a few weeks now and I finally got my hardware and software in for the e-mail tune from Halltech by Jim.

I downloaded my stock ecm file and e-mailed it to Jim. With in 10-15 minutes I had the tuned file back and ready to go. Got off work went home and uploaded the new tune for my 2008 Z06. It was a very easy installation btw. I went for the recommended 20 mile run taking it easy for the computer to relearn the fuel trims etc.

First thing I immediately noticed was the increased throttle response as if the car were ready to go. It improved the response in 6th gear as well which is nice for economy daily driving. Ok enough of that..the car feels like it just got a dry shot of NOS now when I take off from any of the low gears 1,2,3 at any speed . The car pulls harder than before. Almost like the difference driving your car in 100degree weather and then 40 degree weather..Not only does it pull more, but it breaks traction much more easily in a straight line. As some others have said its almost like it got a higher gear ratio installed..

Along with the new found power the car runs a little cooler and even gets better gas mileage from what I've seen. No more CAGS 1to4 light/shift either.

I had the car in competition mode so that any break in traction wont cut the throttle. The car easily breaks traction in 2nd now ...Keep in mind this is in 98-100 degree weather when the car is making less power from the heat and the tires grip more. With this in mind I can't imagine how much more its gonna pull when I take her out when the temperature goes down some.

Thanks for answering all my questions email and phone; and thanks for a great intake and killer tune Jim!

-Hadley S.

Do you have a previous 1/4 mile time and trap speed? It'd be great to compare one bone stock car and one with the KB/tune with their respective times.

Yup, and if you think it's fast now...imagine what it would be like if it were LMB!

Congrats, welcome to the club!

Give Jim a call..very nice guy...this is a warranty friendly mod. You save your stock file and can easily revert back to stock any time. The KB intake breaths much better than stock and makes better use of the front Z06 NACA duct that takes in outside air.
