Default 2008 Z06 X-pipe????

Does anyone know if the new 2008 Z06 has an X-pipe installed by the factory?

I am not sure if they equip the Z06 with an X-pipe for 2008, or any year for that matter.

Pictures would be nice on whatever is stock installed if you have them.

Thanks in advance, Joe

The 08 ZO6 has a H-pipe just like all the other C6 and C6 ZO6's. X- pipe would be better.

Thanks!

I wondered if they now came equipped on them but they are not.

What is a good direct replacement x-pipe only that will bolt up to the OEM system?

There is no real reason to add an x-pipe on the stock exhaust..it wont add any more power. I can see getting one on an aftermarket exhaust to reduce "popping" on decel...but I like that sound. If you ever plan to add headers it would be best to wait and get one with the headers as it will require a different size x-pipe.

Corsa's X-pipe - and I assume most others - should fit right in.
I 1st run w Corsa axle back and stock H-pipe(2008 Z) and then swapped to Corsa's X-pipe. Easy swap.

I have to say that I don't notice any difference in sound on deceleration between the X- and H-pipe. I swapped as I believe an X-pipe flows better than an H-pipe.

Default Thanks

Thank you all for your insight. Not having the car yet and reading all kinds of GOOD stuff here has encouraged me to research more on simple/subtle things to do to the Z when it arrives next month.

I do not want to mod it too much in the beginning because I want to see if the power and handling are more than enough for me not having driven one yet.

I drove a couple of C6's and thought the power/handling was fairly good, but after joining this forum and seeing and reading the mods folks do, thought that I would explore some.

If you have more ideas, please share.

Again thanks for your input, Joe
