Need a second opinion on painting the wheels on my RFZ!
Hey guys, I just wanted to get all of your opinions about having my wheels painted. I am either going to leave them alone or have them painted black. Any and all opinions are welcome, love or hate. Just wanted to get a general idea of what everyone else thought. Thanks alot!
(I found these pics online, sorry if they were yours!)

Chrome looks a bit bling to me. A Z06 is NOT a chrome car.
Black looks great if you have race track debris all over your car but otherwise look like you have 4 get-you-home run-flats.
Or, how about white?

I agree, I dont think the chrome works on a Z06 in general either.
But the black doesn't do it either for me. (I'm all for black in general)
How about black chrome? hmm...

I've thought about black chrome as well, its just hard to decide.. Part of me says dont touch the appearance, and another part of me says screw it, paint em black or black chrome or something! AHHH.. haha, at least these are good problems .... sigh

Don't see how you can generalize and say Chrome doesnt go on a Z . I think it should be based more on a car color/wheel color comparison! I think the chrome looks great on my AO Z and I think it looks great on your RFZ!. But from my Experience(See below Past Car History) I think the White Wheel combo would look good also. But they do get dirty quick!

I love black wheels...I put black wheels on ANYTHING...and there are some people that always comment...why??? NO!!?? ,etc...I am not going to change my taste based on other's opinions. Now, if Adriana Lima would ride with me if I changed to chrome, then I might consider it but, until then...black it is....

I don't really like the white wheel look, but for some reason I am really thinking you could pull it off on the RFZ...and be different at the same time.
For gods sake, don't paint them all black...that only looks appropriate on the black Z's

Have you even thought about the polished GM wheels?
Haven't seen a RF with the polished, bet it would look good if you could get some good ones.

Having a RF Z myself, I had always wished that it came with Competition Grey wheels. I had the CG on my 05 Silver coupe and they were awesome!!! Really hid the brake dust, I have never been one for the black wheels. If you put the white ones on there prepare to spend time "everytime you stop" to clean them.

I generally HATE the bling of chrome wheels. I have Comp grey wheels for my RF with my race tires. I generally LOVE Comp grey wheels.
HOWEVER, in the case of the RF car, I think it looks better with the chrome wheels. Now white, that might be an interesting choice. How about photoshopping that? As far as brake dust, the chrome is no prize winner so white doesn't seem really worse. Of course there are ceramic pads for that problem. I'd get a seperate set of wheels for whatever you do and keep the original wheels as is. Someday that will be a wise decision.
Of course, my opinion is no more valuable than anyone else's, except yours, as the owner
