FI ZR1 Sticker $99000
So they finally released the sticker price for the ZR1, $99000, so that's about $99000 more than I have to spend!!!
But there was one lucky person who caught a real deal at the Barett Jackson Auction today, he paid only $1,000,000 for the first one for sale!!!! All proceeds were donated to charity but I think we will see these selling for close to $200,000 for the first couple months then drop down to $150,000 for a little while. I think it will take almost two years to get to sticker!! Sweet car but it's hard to justify the money when you know what can be done with the sam money. Car and parts I'm into my ride for a little over 75000 and I'm sure it will smoke a ZR1 in all categories. But then again, mine doesn't have a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty!!!

ALL categories? That would surprise me. Tell us what you did and how you did it for 25k less than GM.

bottom line is that it's still not a ZR1....I would be willing to pay 125K if there are any available at that price....we'll see....

Horsepower is great, till you gotta hit the brakes and make a turn. Those carbon ceramics are so far beyond anything right now its gonna be funny to watch it eat cars with far more power.

First of all---how do you back up your claim with facts since you don't have any? Second, I HIGHLY doubt it. Third---you sound sour. Fourth---you still don't have a ZR1. It will be a classic. Lastly please spell Lingenfelter correctly if you at least own one-I have been to LPE, and 5K ain't going to get it by any stretch of the imagination pal.

Not a chance!
The ZR-1 is better balance with counts of downforce on front and rear. You could put 1000 HP is a hummer but it's still rolling brick. HP plays a part, but not the deciding factor. The ZR-1 is that much better over the Z06 just looking at the small aerowork differences alone.
I'm sure your car is nice, but you are mistaken if you think an engine dyno determines how fast a car is.

Aero ENGINEERING is one of the most expensive things to do, and do well on a car. GM uses the wind tunnel, something few tuners and no backyard mechanics can ever do. As has been said here, to balance the front and rear downforce while minimizing drag as much as is possible takes hundreds of hours, and great expertise. NO ONE can bolt on parts and even come close.

Oh, I almost forgot, you might want to use a spell checker next time.

It looks like you are on the wrong forum. The cars designed for picking up groceries are nowhere to be found on this site. Search the web and you will find what you are looking for. Good luck with your search. Hyundai can probably help you out.

I didn't see that announcement - who made that? It would be very unusual, they don't usually announce pricing until about June on the upcoming Corvettes.
This sign appears to be from GM, all it says is "starting under $100,000" (although I admit, the $99k sounds about right).

Wow, tough crowd in here guys!! Let me "fix" what I was saying last night after I came home from the bar..... I like the ZR1 and for the money it's a lot of car, just not for me simply cuz I don't have the 100g's to dump on it. What I have currently is a 01 C5, APS twin, forged bottom, 700/700 RWHP/RWT. RPM stage V tranny and rear, 342's in the rear, G'Force 5th and 6th in the tranny. 6 piston calipers up front, 4 piston in the rear, with two piece rotors all around( nothing close to the cermaics! ). It's on PFadt coilovers with the Pfadt sways, Pirellis Pzero's all around, 345/25/20's in the rear, 265/30/19's up front. I'm confident the car would do well against the ZR1, not only in straigtline. I was over zealous last night, sorry

This is not the sticker price.
Tom Wallace announced at the NCM Event ZR-1 unveiling the price would be North of 100K.
