At this point it's anyone's guess...obviously, whatever the market will bear for the stealerships. Demand will certainly exceed supply and price gouging will run rampant. I think you made a good guess at $35K but I feel it could range even higher...to the point where they don't move the units. It'll be fun to watch.
Is GM making only 2,000 or 2,000 units per year? I thought GM will make 2,000 per year for the model run. Assuming the latter, the expected premium should decrease as more units hit the market in the coming years.
$135K...$150K? I doubt I'd be motivated to buy one with that amount of markup. The ZR1 is nice but it isn't that nice.

Realistically, it will depend on volume-demand.
The Ron Fellow edition (300 produced) ranged from $10,000 (I know personally) to a reported $40,000 over MSRP. When new, the 2006 Z-06 commanded around $10,000 (give or take) over MSRP. You can buy used ones for $50-60,000 today. So many variables, including production run, dealer philosophy, relationship with customers, allocations, MSRP, etc., to know for sure. My guess is no more than $20,000 unless some particular dealer is so greedy to wait for the buyer. If the dealers want to move the cars, it won't tolerate to much over an estimated $100,000 MSRP. Too many other cars not much more expensive that do the job as well or better (not speaking of 0-60 or 200mph+ which 90% of those purcahsing such cars ever attempt anyway.

It would be nice if GM wouldn't let the dealerships mark them up at all. It was their intent to bring the car to the market at 100k and it wouldn't surprise me if it stays there....

I think dealers will have to overcome the 100k hurdle and it will be tough. There are alot of people that can afford a $100k+ car, but I do not think that many will. I would be curious to know how many total cars in the USA are sold that cost over $100k, and how many of those are weekend warriors. First year ,maybe only 6 months will be crazy and then reality will hit. JMHO

The ones that have done so in the past [with C6Z cars] ... should have their allotment reduced to reflect their level of greed.

The dealers may be able to get more money for the very first ZR1's to be released, but it's likely they will go at list in a short time. Look at the economy now and how many Z06's presently in inventory on dealer's lots.

I have been talking to four dealers, before BJ auction they were saying 25k to 50k over sticker for the first ones, now after the auction they are saying up to 100k over sticker. well maybe but not from me.

I don't really think it is an issue of Chevrolet dealers having to overcome the 100K price point. The customers for this car may not be the traditional Chevrolet customer. This car may bring out the collectors and if it does, price will not even be a factor.

$20-50K over MSRP to start and by the second or third year production expect MSRP or less. I also agree that alot of these will be bought by people who don't normally buy Vettes.
