IN STRAIGHT LINE & TRACTION NOT BEING AN ISSUE(0-60,1/4MI,50MPH-150MPH)not talking top speed.

what car/cars can beat a cam(qm600)+ full bolt-on( full exhaust,cai,ported intake,tune etc) c6 zo6.

other than the obvious answers like- h/c zo6, nos zo6, tt zo6, blown z06 & new zr1.(and no full drag cars or bugatti veryon)

on the verge on getting a new z & want something that is nearly unbeatable.

i've narrowed my search to a handfull of cars and would like honest & maybe some realworld results.

can any of these do it?-

but all the others pull high 10's @130ish? maybe i should change the post to cam/bolt-on/100 shot nos.

*edit- took tt viper & tt ford gt off the list, as i think they are too much for the z to handle. imo

you were very vague on the mods for each car listed, you just said "modded GT 500" ... well that modded GT 500 could have 1500 RWHP.... etc

lol it was funny that you listed a ton of cars that could beat it, its hard to say b/c you can buy a foxbody put 20k in it and waste a z06 in your test but yes the z is a better car of course until you start looking at high dollar F-car and special P-cars and just all out low production exotics. The magical factor of the Z06 is the total performance per $ ratio.

Here's the analysis:

09 skyline GTR-stock DEF NOT. This car weighs 3800 lbs! 0-60 maybe but trap speed in the quarter will be about 118, so no!

modded bmw m6-pulley,ecu,tune,exhaust,gears: low speed race or from a dig: NO. Way too heavy. On a fast roll race on the hwy, it is closer, but still no. This is where the M6 shines (I have an M5 and they are serious Autobahn warriors), but the Vette is more aerodynamic, seriously lighter, and with the mods you specified, easily still more hp, so no.

modded viper- intake,exhaust,tune,gears: Which one? 450hp? 600hp? depends. The early ones, no. The new one, much closer but still no with the mods you specified. A magazine (Automobile?) did almost this exact test - 600hp Viper vs. Lingenfelter Z, and the Z was much faster.

any ferrari(f430,enzo,599)-tune,exhaust,cai: 430: no, not with the mods you specify for the Z. 599: Very close race. The 599 is sick fast, especially from a roll. I think maybe yes on the highway.

modded ford gt- cai,pulley,tb,tune,exhaust: YES. Keep in mind this is a forced induction car so the "tune" you indicate on the GT can easily add 100hp. This car will beat the Z.

shelby gt500-kenne bell,cai,tune,gears,exhaust. Very close race. The Ford is a pig for weight, but this car can easily also put down 600+ hp and way more torque than the Vette.

lambhorghini-any (lp640)stock: Close race, both from a dig (AWD) and on a roll.

modded sl/cl 65 mercedes benz or slr benz-ecu,cai,exhaust: No from a dig; DEF YES from a roll. Hard to argue with 700hp/700tq, right?

modded porsche 997 tt/gt3-cai,tune,exhaust or carrera gt(stock): 997 tt with mild mods: no. With serious mods, yes. This car can be anywhere from 550hp to 700+hp depending on the mods. GT3: no. Sportauto (Even a stock Z will beat it); Carrera GT: YES everywhere, which will never matter because 1. you will never see one who 2. Is willing to race you.

any modded supra,rx7,evo,wrx??????? Not going to speculate here because way too many different answers.

This is very well put. Just want to say a Lamborghini Mercialago (sp?) will get beat and that's the V12 version. Also would like to add that NOOO WRX will be beating it unless it is HEAVILY MODDED!!! And that WRX couldn't probably run on the street. Track only car. The evo on the other hand are pretty quick with a ton of mods, but you will most likely never run into that evo. So all the rest stands.

It sounds like you have no problem modifying whatever car that you choose, so with that in mind, you should pick the car that you like the best.
After you have done that, find a reputable tuner that specializes in that type of vehicle, and discuss your goals, and budget with him, and he should be able to come up with a combination that you will be happy with.

If you just want everyone's opinion of what the best car is, prepare to sit back and do a little reading

Lets assume you are making 550 rwhp with those mods.

bolt on FGT with pully and tune - good race, with the edge going to the Z06
430/599 - no
Enzo - good race, with the edge going to the enzo
Nissan GTR - , enough said right there
PCGT - good race, with the edge going to the Z06
LP640 - no
Mclaren SLR - no
Modded M6 - no
Modded sl/cl 65 - no
modded Supra - definitely yes. They can get FAST

So, inconclusion, there are very little cars that will outrun a cam, bolt on Z06.
