Another question for those of you who have purchased the splitter...

I have always been told by people much smarter than myself that when beginning to modify your car for track, that you begin with suspension first before messing with aerodynamics.

1. Do you take your Z06 out on the track, like in an HPDE?

2. How many of you have already modified your suspension before getting the splitter?

3. If you haven't modified your suspension, what effect has the splitter had on your track sessions?

Hotchkis Corvette C6/ZO6 Sport Sway Bar Set

The hollow tube bars measure 1.25-inches in front and 1.125-inches in the rear, and are 20% stiffer than stock in front and are adjustable from +30% to -15% stiffer in the rear. The result is dramatically improved cornering potential, chassis balance and steering response. Besides offering exceptional handling improvements for street driving, Hotchkis sway bars work extremely well in autocross, road course, and open road racing applications. The lightweight hollow sway bars are formed on a CNC machine, powder coated gloss black for durability and come with special high durometer dry lube impregnated rubber bushings. Stock end links are retained to maintain a quiet ride on the street. Thanks to added adjustability, the new Hotchkis C6 sway bar package reduces body roll, increases vehicle control, and adds a new level of driver feedback and control to any late-model Corvette, even razor-sharp Z06 and Z51 models.

Features:
Lightweight, durable 1.25” (1 ¼”) tubular steel front sway bar. 20% Stiffer than Z51 & ZO6
Lightweight, durable 1.125” (1 1/8”) adjustable tubular steel rear sway bar. Stiffness increase on Z51 +15%, +45%, +80%. Stiffness increase on ZO6 -15%, Same, +30%
Factory style oil impregnated rubber bushings included
Gloss black powder coat finish

Benefits
Dramatically improved cornering potential
Improved chassis balance and steering response
Adjustable rear bar allows suspension to be finely tuned
Improves both Z06 and Z51 models
Eliminates ZO6 nervous rear handling traits during track use
Allows power to be applied earlier during corner exit

In the pics there is double sided tape above the air inlets because the 8mm screws will not fit there. You can notch out the holes and slide the screws in, it just takes more time. One tip that will make the job easier is to push all of the screws up into the holes first and hold them in place with a small piece of masking tape on top. Once the air dam is screwed tight the tape will not be visible between the bottom of the front bumper cover and the air dam. Lift it into place and tighten each one just enough to catch a thread before tightening them further. You need to be careful not to scratch the car with the screw tips when you lift the air dam into place, though.

I had a local body man install front and rear wing.Took him 2-3hrs. Looks great, you can start feeling a change at 80 to 85, although slight. Will know more in a couple of weeks. The kit is very high quality, tremendous service from Burseth!

When did you order it? At this rate I might as well wait for the GM unit to become available at my chevy dealer.

Ordered it from XMS locally, which he got it from someone else. I think he was just telling me that he ordered one from himself from you because the guy took so long with mine. Not sure why I have the hold up, but I better get it in time for miller.... Not sure what a 4400ft straight will be like without one, but I am betting my car will want to go airborne

@Fast-Eddie I think I found your C6 Z06 and considering buying it (06 Z06, same wheels and wing). Would you mind reaching out? I would like to know the history. I am a new forum member so I don't have the ability to PM.
