The 427 hood badges
These 427 badges are in the new brochure and I went to the dealer and was told--$150.00
Someone needs to reproduce them.

While 117 is better than 150, it is still about 100 more than they should cost. Talk about a "Corvette Tax"

The GM's are actually nice pieces and the look is well worth it.

Okay, I don't know about 17, but I'd challenge someone to look into the price of emblems for other, more mundane cars.

When I ordered them and received them with the template, I considered them a deal. They are really nice. Ordered mine from Gene.

Thanks everybody. I'll click on gmpartshouse in a minute. When I was in the parts department of the dealer learning their $150.00 price I could see that even they the employees were startled by it.

I bought a set from Corvette World in Rancho Cordova, Ca.,for $33.00. They are original 427 numbers for the 1969 Corvette. They are the same size as the new ones, but black with chrome. The numbers are seperate and have the prongs on the back. I simply cut them off and made sure they were ground down alittle until flat, then I used 3M double sided tape (indoor and outdoor), then streached a piece of string and held that with regular scotch tape for a guide and stuck them on. They came out perfect, and I get compliments all the time and sometimes people say "I did'nt know that was a 427".

Those numbers are the epitomy of the Corvette.
