Default Brembo Monobloc Staggered 6 Piston Calipers

The only aftermarket company with Front and Rear specific monobloc calipers for the C6Z06. Systems tuned by the Experts at Brembo. At all levels of motor racing, from Formula 1 to Nascar Sprint Cup they rely on Brembo brakes to take the checkers. This is the best setup for the C6Z you can possibly purchase and the most value you can receive from a brake system.

Tuning the system for performance is a huge part of performance. Slapping together parts can't offer the same opportunity for that big confidence inspiring pedal. These Corvettes are so fast and the brakes are something that can make a huge difference in performance. No padlets to mess with and big thick pads that won't fade is absolutely required for performance.

Front:
Gigantic Monoblock 6-Piston Calipers
Huge Caliper Piston and Piston Bore
380mm or 355mm 2-PC Iron/Aluminum Lightweight Rotors (16.9lbs for 355mm)
McLaren Floating Hardware
8.1lbs in rotor weight savings per corner
Goodrich Stainless Lines with Banjo Bolt Connection

Rear:
Monoblock 4-Piston Calipers
Brand New Design with Thicker Pads, Bigger Pistons and Enhanced Piston Bore
Adds Additional Rear Brake Bias Over Previous 2-pc Rear Setup
345mm 2-PC Iron/Aluminum Lightweight Rotors (16.9lbs for 355mm)
McLaren Floating Hardware
Additional Weight Savings over Stock
Goodrich Stainless Lines with Banjo Bolt Connection

Available in Red, Yellow, Black, or Silver

Please educate me on this monobloc staggered six piston caliper.

What is meant by staggered, are the pistons are not directly across from each other?

The staggered basically means they are different sizes for each position in the caliper. In a basic caliper design the pistons themselves are all the same size and bore(thickness). The size(area) of the piston and the bore(thickness) are directly responsible for brake leverage and force as well as pedal feel. What happens is Brembo uses various different sized pistons in their calipers to achieve the best balance of force across the entire pad surface to achieve the best possible braking performance.

Also Pad Taper is a common problem with the stock type calipers. When even force is applied to the entire pad the leading edge is usually worn at a much higher rate than the rear. Accelerating pad wear and creating a situation where you could have a much longer pedal. Also if you're only using 2/3 of the pad you have the potential for fade much sooner.

With the Staggered pistons, these issues are eliminated by using different piston sizes and bores.

The Front Retails for $3695, please PM me for further pricing and details.

Available now.

For motorcycles, this has been common practice for many years now.

great deal!
In my powdercoating experience, specializing in calipers, the stock Z06 calipers are the only multi piston type calipers that all have the same size pistons (maybe baer do too, I can't remember on those). Stoptech, brembo, rotora, AP all use staggered setups though.
