The old version is like the picture above. The control module is in between the two big connectors and lives right next to the radiator. There were some problems with the modules failing due to heat, so the new version addresses this by moving the module inside the car. Make sure to get the new version.

Here's the manufacturer's website: http://www.casperselectronics.com/st...oducts_id=1473

I've been using one of these for three years now and like it a lot. It really works to keep the temp down in Houston traffic in the summer. The key is to turn the fan on high before the temp starts to rise. For example, I'll turn the fan on high as I exit the freeway, well before the first light. Water temp in traffic will stay around 210 now instead of 225+ like before.

When you do the installation, pay close attention to your connectors as you may find some heat damage. I did, it's pretty common but fortunately not a big deal to fix. Casper's sells the terminals to rebuild them or the complete connector if you need it.

was having difficulty last summer with my h/c z06 running hot in the 85/90 degree weather when driving around town hitting stop lights constantly. When driving around on days like this is it possible to just keep it on either on low or high during the whole duration of the drive? Is it bad to do this?

Just launched....

Take complete control of your C6, Z06, or ZR1 coolant fan with our new Corvette C6 Fan Control Switch

This brand new Plug-And-Play control module installs under the hood, at the fan connector, and is designed to manually control the PWM coolant fan found on the 2005-2009 C6, Z06 and ZR1 Corvette. When the need arises to manually cool the radiator down, this module gives you complete control (high, low, and normal) of the fan with the simple flick of a switch. This kit can be installed in less then one hour, once you decide on where you want to place the control switch. This switch matches the style and look of cockpit switches used on all the C6 Corvettes.

Comes with easy to follow installation instructions.

Ordering info below.

OP, your post indicates applicable year through 09. Mine is '12 Z. Got anything that would work for this application?

Looks like a great product.

Many thanks
