[Z06] Lifting points

Lifting points
I have a Rotary brand asymmetrical twin post lift, but I have heard "horror stories" about lifting a Z06 with other than a drive-on lift. I may be overlooking it, but I don't see anything in the owner's manual, etc. about lifting points.
Anyone have good reliable info before my first oil change comes around soon?
Photos would be great.
Mine is 2007 MY
Thanks

those are what we have at our store and my Z is too low to fit on it. I cut some 2X12 boards and i place them in the right spots and drive up on them to lift the car a little. If you bend over and look under the rockers you can see little notches where your supposed to jack it. I dont have jacking pucks so i cut little square pieces of wood and put them on top of the hoiste pads so nothing touches the rockers or comes close to them. Good luck man! The blue spots are where youre supposed to jack it with a lift

I do. I don't use that to raise it up very high, though. Just high enough to get the wheels off for cleaning, etc. So far the car has survived. Something tells me the car is more robust than all this Henny Penny stuff would lead one to believe.

Thanks, great diagram. That looks like just what I needed to know. I had figured I would have to improvise a way to get the car high enough to get the arms under it. The 2x12 idea had crossed my mind. Good to hear that the simple solution will work. Too often they don't.
I've only had one C6 on a lift before, and I can assure you, there wasn't much way I could have done any more damage to it that it had when I got it. Compared with earlier Corvettes I have worked on over the decades, it was an absolute pleasure. Looks like I'm off to the Mobil 1 vendor as soon as I get the service reminder light reset on the goofy Volvo that's currently sharing my garage. (Short term, I hope) I don't know how many days your fun is compromised by winter, but I'd rather spray the Volvo with road salt until spring when I hopefully sell it and get my bow tie toys back out. Thanks again for the info!

The blue spots in the diagram are the correct lifting locations to use with a two post lift. You also need to buy some jacking pucks. I bought mine from Elite Engineering. You can see them in this pic (they look like they are the same color as the car):

Thanks, yes I do see to pucks you refer to. I appreciate the reply & the photo.
Feeling much better about the whole idea of doing my own upkeep as I have on almost everything I have previously owned. Even got the dreaded Volvo service light and a random MIL code reset today. Knowledge is power!

Melting Slicks
For me jacking pucks = hockey pucks, 99 cents each at Canadian Tire...no need for the official NHL versions. I'm sure in the USA any sports store will have them for a similar price.
Cheers, Paul.

Z06 lifting points
I bought a set of jacking pucks (Online but I forgot from whom) for my mechanic to use on his lifts for my 2004 C5. Work great. Same pucks also work for my 2009 C6 Z06. He really likes them and is thankful I bought them. Cost was $22.00
