Any recommendations on how to view the tags on the heads for the numbers? Could not see anything with that bracket on the front. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Dental mirror, and a small flashlight.

ZR1 #559, LS9 built by Mike Priest. Thanks for the great piece of work Mike! The engine and car are awesome!

Larry, is there a way to treat everyone on the corvette line to lunch while I'm there for the NCM delivery? I wanted to do it last time, but someone said something about the union and/or policy.

As you know, we are located in Wixom, Michigan. Are you coming here when you take delivery in Kentucky? I'm quite sure most of the builders would love it. We have about 20-30 total.

I meant the corvette assembly line at BG while taking part in the NCM. As for Wixom, the best I could do from this distance is send about 20 pizzas to you guys

The Corvette assembly line at Bowling Green consists of 100's of people, are you sure you want to try that? Many people that do museum delivery do take the tour of Wixom. They used to let people build/help build their own engine, only takes about 3 hours to build one. We have (maybe this year) an open house at Wixom with a large turnout. Larry

To show my appreciation, yes I would. I did it for my old company (200 soldiers). As I mentioned earlier though, when I brought the idea up to my guide, it was shot down. All it would take is something small like pizza etc to say thanks. The problem would be getting it to everyone within their “union” allotted window for lunch. When I get the NCM notification, I will ask again. How many corvette people are at Wixom?

There are now about 30 people at Wixom PBC, including builders, salaried and material support. One thing is for sure, WE LOVE PIZZA! We'd be more than happy to accept your gracious offer.

Thanks for thinking about us too,

Default Pizza day at GM Performance Build Center - Wixom!

Dear Mr. GForceSS,
Thank you sir for treating us to Pizza Day!
The lunch meal was appreciated and very tasty. The BBQ chicken pizza (from Jets) was the first to go and when it was over seven extra large deep dish pizzas were consumed.

On behalf of the LS9 and LS7 engine builders and support staff, WE SALUTE YOU!! Your generosity gave us something to cheer for in these trying times.

Don

Default Where is Mike?

Mike is still here, building engines five days a week.
If you'd like to come in for a tour you can meet Mike and get his signanture. Or you could make other arrangements.

Attention ZR1 Owners and Wannabees!

There is talk going around Wixom PBC about allowing customers to come in and build their engines with us. This would be an option you would select when ordering a ZR1 Z06 or dry sump Grand Sport. You may even be able to have your name on the engine tag!
