I have a 2007 Z06. I got as poster from the Wixom plant that was signed by the builder for a donation to the Ronald McDonald House. I framed it and hung it in the garage next to my Z06 and LS7 posters.
Is something like that available for the LS9? I don't know my builder yet since I don't get NCM delivery until 9/23 and I don't have a magic 8 ball.

Also too bad because it was a fundraiser for a good cause. Perhaps with the right persuasion it could be revived...Need someone with enough horsepower to make it happen.
Thanks for your postings on this thread. We enjoy it at Wixom. Look for summary of "Who Built your LS9" soon.

I wish the poster program was still going, but unfortunately it's not. Like you, many of the poster recipients enjoy having them on display. Kind of nice to make a connection between owner and builder.

Wixom and My LS9
Attention ZR1 Owners and Wannabees!
There is talk going around Wixom PBC about allowing customers to come in and build their engines with us. This would be an option you would select when ordering a ZR1 Z06 or dry sump Grand Sport. You may even be able to have your name on the engine tag!
Whattayathink?

My 2010 ZR1 is VIN ...321, is TPW of October 26, is there a way that I could contact someone at Wixom to try to see if i could see my LS9 being built or at less take a tour of the Wixom Plant?
Thanks,
Lee

Come to Wixom!
Lee,
We still do tours at Wixom. To make arrangements go to the following link for GM Powertrain Performance Build Center, the click on Tour Reservations. Please let me know if you have any problems.

Regarding watching your engine build, I'm not sure how we would find out which engine is designated for you.
Perhaps we could tag one specifically for you. I'll ask our manager about this.
By the way, last I heard the build your own engine program has the green light! Work is supposed to be done on line A4 soon to accomodate these builds, for LS9 and LS7. Maybe yours could be one of the first for this program?
Good luck Lee, hope to see you in Wixom.

Who built your LS9?
Bruce Blomfield built the LS9 in my 2010 Cyber Gray/Ebony/3LZ. I'm still breaking it in, so I don't know the real potential yet. Thanks Bruce.
