Seriously? What would you like them to compare it to? The GTR is $30K less and it only takes about 2 seconds more to get around the 'ring.

I've been a Corvette guy my whole life having owned one from every generation except C1. I think it's a fair comparison ...

Even the base C6 can take a GTR that isn't using the electronic launch control. That car is nothing special.

They try to compare it to the ZR1 (even though there is no comparison--even a Z06 will squash a GTR) because the ZR1 is now the performance standard for other car to try to beat.

We, as Vette owners, should be PROUD that our marque is now the standard of the world for performance cars.

Manufacturer ring times are probably the worst possible way to compare two cars.

MT showed the zr1 putting 2 seconds on a GTR around a tight 2 mile road course in a same day/pro driver test. On the 13 mile ring you can bet it would extend its lead by a little more than just an extra half second.

While I'm not a huge GTR fan, I do respect it.

Statistically speaking, the GTR is a better performance car than the Z06. Period.

I'd still rather take a Z06 any day of the week, but the GTR is damn good.

Price wise the GTR should be compared to the Z06, but performance wise it should be compared to the ZR1.

Love it or hate it, that's the way it is.
