Default What is the best ZR1 1:18 scale model on the market?

And where can I get it?

I've only seen a couple and they don't look that great.

Thanks y'all!

How about a few more colors and smaller scale.

That Jada model is god awful and it's a shame. The paint has poor quality, the front wheels don't turn, so it's one of those models that's best left in the box.

I may be a bit jaded b/c I have about 20 Corvette models from 1:12 scale on down, but I was REALLY disappointed with Jada models. Hell, even my crappy C4 ZR-1 models from the mid 1990s give this thing a run for its money!

I agree the 1/18th, I believe it's a Jada, is more like a toy than a collectable dia cast. Tires and wheels are way to big and out of scale, the jetstream blue paint is watery thin and every angle bleeds thru! I got one but it can't match the Hot Wheels ZO6 1/18th models previously released.

I have a red and blue and I agree 100% with you but it's the only game in town for now.I painted the wheels so it looks better.I just got Jada's GT-R and it is way better than the ZR1....Everything is in spec.

I believe there's a HUGE remote controlled ZR1. Next time I see it, I might have to pick one up.

I don't own any Jada models but from what I have read here it sounds like they make an inferior product. I don't understand why companies sell exclusive rights to people who make a generally poor product.

Their Nissan GT-R model is much better than the Camaro and ZR1 models.....Your answer to why they sell exclusive rights to anyone.....It goes to the highest bidder....plain and simple.

Id wait for AutoArt to make one soon if they havent already. I have there Oreca Vipers and C5R Vette and they are incredibly accurate for a very reasonalble price. I get them from Exoticar a few years back.

Heres an idea of the quality. Z06:

No one can make a ZR1(1:18) till the contract is up with Jada. The AA version would be very expensive if it is ever released by them.

Just the Jada 1/18 and Hotwheels 1/64 along with at least one remote control that appeared to be about 1/12 scale.
