Same arguments too... Just in a different direction. Its funny to read.
Old Quick:
The first words they see in your post TJ are : "Here is one that went away at 5200 RPM" Followed cloesly by "Not sure what happened, #7 and #8 went away, it windowed the block directly above the starter, shoved piston debris into the intake, and spit out piston debris out the tail pipe...."
No offense to either of you, but this is exactly how unfounded "rumors" about the LS7 tend to get started. People take this kind of stuff and run with it.

New Quick:
So when Wong makes that comment, it doesn't necessarily mean that this was a valve failure. He's right, SS valves are no panacea. One with them could suffer a piston failure, or a spun bearing tomorrow.
Same Quick.

But more importantly doesn't give a care what those like yourself think. :rofl.

Who doesnt think its true? I don't think I have seen anyone in a while say it doesn't exist.
We are beyond "IF" there is a problem. We have now graduated to what people "THINK" is the fix.
New data is finally coming in. Katech results. A dropped SS valve. I am hoping we get data on the "good head" from that failure so we can get a report on how bronze guides hold up at 40K miles.
Now is not the time to be stubborn and thick headed or have infighting. We simply don't know enough about the cause or have solid evidence that the fix works. If everyone could just accept that this forum would be a better place.
