I have a 2008 Z06 with stock exhaust and I am waiting for my new set of BB Fusions that should be here by Friday according to BB Exhaust.

I weighed my stock Z06 Bi-mod exhaust (muffler with attached over the axle pipe) and this is the result.

Drivers 26.2 lbs (11.90 kg)
Passenger 26.0 lbs (11.81 kg)

I saw on the below thread state the weight of the 2 mufflers as 40 lbs. and the 2 over the axle pipes as 10 lbs for a total of 50 lbs. This is real close to what I found (52.2 lbs.) with the over the axle pipes attached to my mufflers.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1563316816-post19.html

Keep in mind each individual muffler will weigh differently but I would say that maybe a + or - .5 of a pound is reasonable.

The BB Fusion Bi-Mod exhaust also has the over the axle pipe attached (welded) to it so when they arrive I will weigh them for comparison and post the results.

Default Results

I called BB this past Monday to find out the status of my order and asked if they knew the weight of the Fusions. The guy called me today after they built mine and said they were getting them ready to ship. They weighed them on a UPS scale and the results according to them were:

Drivers 21.8 lbs (9.90 kg)
Passenger 21.9 lbs (9.95 kg)

Total weight is 43.7 lbs.
52.2 - 43.7 = 8.5lbs less.

Question is, do we want our rear ends any lighter?

Jim, got the Fusion's today. I ordered the oval tips just to be a little different, but unfortunately, B&B sent the round tips. I guess I'll live with it.

Jim,

I just bought a set of these from you (David) and I have a question.

It seems that some photos of this system (installed) show the center two tips pretty close together - while others show a pretty good gap.

What gives here - do I have a choice?
