Any tested his Z06 with the new 600hp viper ?
Hi all
i have big respect for the new 600hp Viper, a viper with exhuast what is the results with a Z06 that has , airintake, borla touring exhuast, diablo sport tune, 160 thermostat, kooks header & x-pip without cats from roll ?

I have both cars but who knows what it would be like with the mods you listed? Stock to stock the Viper is the fastest!

Stock vs. stock, the Viper is faster, but it doesn't look like by much! Seems like it would be a "driver's race" on a drag strip or road-course (although it's not exactly fair comparing the two cars with the Z06 having the run-craps... I know, I know, STOCK vs STOCK!!!).

i had some issues like burned plug wires, etc at the time of the race. not sure how much that accounted for anything but the 08s are definitely faster on the highway than a stock z06. might need 500rw in a z06 to be even.

since the stock is 560rw/525trq ! and you said he is having exhaust if not tuned also ! ... you will not reach that much with Intake,exhaust,headers I think you will be around 480/490rw ... U need at least a Nice Cam to allow you to run with that car. all the best .. as you said its for fun .. then go for it

Well there you go, car and driver says the z06 wins. Also, it doesn't take much to match the horsepower and torque of the viper, mine matches it almost exactly, and it only took a couple of turbos at 9psi in an ls2. it takes even less on a real z06.

Both very fine cars. The stock Viper is faster than a stock Z06 with the same driver.
Either one could beat the other with a good driver vs a bad driver. Or a missed shift or whatever.
It will also be much easy to mod a Viper to 600 rwhp compared to what it takes in a Z06.

The new 600 hp viper is an incredible vehicle, I can't imagine any car enthusiast "not having a use for it."And furman is right, stock vs stock, the viper is faster hands down.
