If I was at the track, doing this before a race, 12 guys, 24-48 hours strait it could be done.
Fastest Ive ever assembled a race car was 30 days, I might beat that with this car, only because it has been together before, but Im trying to not work too late

Now that some time has passed I hope it wont hurt to ask. Did any of you guys joke around some point after the accident that a car with flames painted all over it caught on fire?

Keep nocking it Lou, can't wait to see the finished car @ Road Atlanta. Who's going to share the driver duties with you for that race.

Maybe I'm way off base (I'm certainly not a metallurgist) but did you guys have to have the frame inspected in any way (x-rayed, tensile strength tested, etc.) after the fire? I was just thinking that the heat would have damaged the alloy composition to the point where the properties of the metals would be compromised/unsafe. Anyway, great looking build notwithstanding my nanny-state mentality.

It did not get so hot that metal was compromised. The fire lasted 35 seconds, most of which was fueled by the compromised fuel line that lit the fire. If I can scrape paint off, its fine
